The IOM class is one of the biggest RC sailing classes in the world. For fun and fair sailing the rules must be well defined, obeyed and maintained, whether it is the class rules or championship rules. The rules and the administration follows the general principles of class administration as any ISAF-class (International sailing federation www.sailing.org)
The class is administered by IOMICA (IOM international class association www.iomclass.org) and its world council. The world council consists of representatives of each member country with voting strengths according to the number of boats registered. 2022 there are 35 member countries in the world council including the Swiss entry during spring 2022.
