  • 2012 IOM European Championship – Bid from Croatia

    IOMICA ESC has received on April 30th a bid from Croatia (Island of Cres) for 2012 European Championship. Proposed dates are November 17th – 24th. ESC is now studying that bid and a decision will come in next few days.

  • Status of 2012 European Continental Championship Regatta

    April 11, 2012

    IOM ICA regrets to announce that the 2012 European Continental Championship regatta, scheduled to be held in Malaga, Spain on October 30 to November 4, 2012, has been cancelled.
    A number of factors are involved in this decision but the final determining factor has been physical changes to the site that are beyond the control of the host club and that have rendered the site unusable for our purposes.
    Much effort by the NCA for ESP and the Host Club, Real Club Mediterráneo de Málaga (RCM), has gone into attempting to find an alternate location but to no avail.
    The IOM ICA Events Sub Committee wishes to thank ESP for stepping forward to host this event.
    The Events Sub Committee will accept proposal for alternate hosts for this event but, given the short time left in the year to organize such an event, those interested must be in contact with the Committee before the end of April.
    If you have any questions, please route them through your NCA Representative to the IOM ICA Secretary.

  • Trim logbook for the IOM

    To be able to keep track if your trim settings of your IOM we have made a trim logbook were you can note down your settings from time to time. It is in English but we are working on translations.

    How to print and make the book:

    1. Download the pdf by click >>here<< or on the picture above
    2. Print only page 1, the cover
    3. Print page 2 as many A4 sheets as you like, then turn them over
    4. Print the backside as well, check for the right direction.
    5. Stack them and fold in the middle and fold the cover page around and staple it in the middle and you have a nice trim logbook
    6. If you want a „deluxe“ version you can fold a transparent plastic sheet around as well. A nice finish is to sew the middle with a normal sewing machine instead of staples.

  • IOM Sail identification

    Here is an unofficial interpretation/explication on how to make your sail numbers class legal. The sail identification is one of the most misunderstood part of the class rules and is often not correctly done. If you have any comments or find something that is not correct, please notify us.

  • Tricastin 2012

      49 participants from 4 nations took part in this classic IOM class regatta. Switzerland was represented by Enrico Ambrosi SUI 62 and Marco Signorelli SUI 80. Here all three rigs were used.

      49 Teilnehmer aus 4 Nationen nahmen an diesem Klassiker unter den IOM Regatten teil. Auch Enrico Ambrosi SUI 62 und Marco Signorelli SUI 80 waren dabei. Dabei kamen alle drei Riggs zum Einsatz.
